Know Your Customer Through the Enneagram
Dec 20, 2021What's Happening
We’ll return to our regularly scheduled trending report in the New Year, but in the meantime, I wanted to leave you with a resource.
I’ve officially completed a series on Megan’s Social Media Marketing Show helping you learn how to serve the different Enneagram types in your audience well.
For those unfamiliar with the Enneagram, it’s ancient wisdom paired with modern psychology to tell us our inner motivations for our actions as we move through life.
On social media as business owners and marketers, our job is to influence action.
So this series is exploring how each Enneagram type is motivated to action on social media.
Use it for Your Business
Each audience has each Enneagram number in its ranks, so you will benefit from watching the whole series. However, if you feel your audience may attract more of a certain type, you could watch that number first.
While watching, you’ll want to think about your current social media strategies and make adjustments. Perhaps you learned that Enneagram 5s love to hang out on Twitter so you beef up your presence there. Or, maybe you’ve been hitting the snarky content recently but you realize that’s been a sticking point for the Enneagram 9s in your audience.
The goal isn’t to make everyone happy. That’s impossible. The goal is to become aware of the inner motivations of each number and help to provide content that inspires them to action.
