Post your content and get out of there.
Don’t hang around to see who makes the first comment or how many likes it gets. Don’t check back every half hour. Give it 24 hours.
The average half-life of an Instagram post is about 20 hours. That means you’ll get half of all engagement by that time and you can get a good idea of how it’s performing.
In fact, how about you only check in on social once per day period? Most people complain about how much time they’re wasting on social. Set a timer if you need to.
Most likely you can check on, respond to any comments on your social media and make some thoughtful comments on others’ posts within a half hour.
